Creative people who are busy trying to start or supplement their careers with writing are some of the hardest people to find gifts for. Why not create a gift that will help them through this trying time and show them how much you care at the same time? How to give the perfect gift

Choosing the perfect gift for someone can be daunting and at times seem impossible. The hard to shop for person seems to become harder and harder every year. Here are some tips to help you discover new ideas and a more personalized way of giving.

When choosing a gift, take in to consideration what the person likes. A lot of great ideas come from finding a person's passion and encouraging that person to grow from your gift. Does your person go to dog shows? Show him you care by researching what they do and purchasing along the lines of their hobby. Maybe a pet photo or gourmet pet care basket would bring a smile to their face. Does he like to write? A writers block gift set or personalized business cards provide encouragement, admiration, and shows you care.

Another way to give a great gift is to personalize it. Engrave their name on an item of meaning, write a personal letter or frame a meaningful photo. Creating a scrapbook of memories or inside jokes will bring a smile to their face that no store bought item could ever do.

Another tip is to just listen to what they are saying. Sometimes what they want isn't an extravagant gift but something simple and useful. A way to make someone more successful, such as a book or conference, may not sound exciting to you, but may mean the world to someone who just wants to get ahead.

The most important thing to remember is to keep the person you are giving to in mind and make whatever you are giving them for them and them alone. That is the way to the perfect gift.

3 ways to dye an egg

Easter is a fun time in the life of a child. I remember being super excited to dye Easter eggs weeks in advance. I'm sure you're familiar with the traditional way of dying eggs with the store bought dye and vinegar. Here are some more ways to make your Easter creations unique.

A fun way to dye eggs is to use crêpe paper. After you have hard-boiled your eggs, cut out little strips of different colors of crêpe paper. You can create long strips or little squares or even shapes. Wet the crêpe paper in water and place it on the egg. Take another piece of a different color of crêpe paper, wet it and overlap part of the first piece of paper. This will make a blended new color on the egg. Do this for the entire egg; be as creative as you want. After the egg is covered, let it sit until the dye from the egg has saturated the shell. Pull off the crêpe paper and you have a beautiful multicolored egg!

You can also wrap string around an egg to make an awesome pattern before you dye it. Simply grab thread or a thicker string, depending on the look you want, and wrap it around the egg in a pattern that you desire. Leave the string on while you dip the eggs into the dye. When the eggs are dry, take off the string and you'll have a beautiful pattern where the string once was!

Finally, who says that eggs only need to be dyed? You can make them extra sparkly by adding sequins or glitter. You can cover an entire egg with sequins by simply using craft glue. If you plan on doing this it's probably best to blow the egg out instead of hard boiling it. You also could combine dye and sequins, Sporadically placing the sequins wherever you want. To create a gem like Easter Egg, dye an egg like normal and while it is still wet, you can sprinkle a fine glitter on to it to make a beautiful treasure.

There are countless ways you could dye an egg. You are limited only by your imagination. If you need any Easter gifts be sure to visit our website at www.merryweatherbaskets.com. Merry Weather Baskets provides unique gifts that are perfect for anyone!

Keep Easter memories alive

Easter is a very fun and special day in the life of a child. Here is a good craft idea to keep in mind for after the Easter holiday.

As your child eats the special dyed eggs that he worked so hard to create, have him save the shells. Keep some cups around so he can save similar colors of egg shells together. After all the eggs have been eaten, have your child lay them out in a mosaic like design on a sturdy piece if paper. You can then help your child to glue the pieces down and he can add color and extra touches to his work if art.

This project showcases your child's artistic ability and preserves some of the egg shell designs that he was so proud of. In a few years this will be a treasured work of art!!
